Bookings and reservations
All reservations for dining and poker seats must be made through the official reservation link. Bookings are subject to availability, and you must provide accurate contact information. Special requests are not guaranteed unless confirmed by the venue.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a no-show fee. The venue reserves the right to release unclaimed tables after 15 minutes past the booking time, and repeated no-shows may result in booking restrictions.
Poker seat bookings are for social, non-wagering play only and are subject to the same cancellation terms. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis within each session. You may be asked to confirm your understanding of the house rules before play, and the venue may reallocate seats to ensure balanced tables.
Poker lounge terms and non-wagering policy
All poker games at The Grand River Lounge are strictly social and non-wagering. No real money, cash, or anything of value is ever wagered. Players use social chips provided by the venue, and tournament points are awarded for entertainment purposes only. Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or prizes of monetary value.
Winners of poker sessions may receive dining prizes or recognition, but these are not gambling winnings. Prizes are at the venue's discretion and may include complimentary dishes or beverages. Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash, and the venue reserves the right to modify prize offerings.
The Grand River Lounge operates in full compliance with Australian laws regarding social gaming and hospitality. No gambling licence is required for non-wagering social poker. The venue promotes responsible entertainment, and any guest found attempting to wager real money will be asked to leave.
Guest conduct and house rules
Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and other patrons at all times. Disruptive, abusive, or intoxicated behaviour will not be tolerated. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry or service, and the dress code is smart casual.
During poker sessions, players must follow the dealer's instructions and adhere to standard social poker etiquette. No collusion or cheating of any kind is permitted. Mobile phones should be silenced at the table, and players must not discuss hands in a way that influences play.
Liability and indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, The Grand River Lounge is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or participation in lounge activities. The venue is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items, and guests participate in poker activities at their own risk. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You agree to indemnify The Grand River Lounge against any claims arising from your breach of these terms or your conduct at the venue. This includes damage to venue property, and you are responsible for your own actions and those of your guests.

Your use of the website and lounge services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. We collect information necessary for bookings and service improvement, and we do not sell your personal data. For full details, please review the Privacy Policy.
